Opt in to Receive Messages

Contacts who opt out of receiving messages no longer receive one-way messages, including emergency alerts. Contacts can opt back in to receive one-way messages.

  • If the contact still has a messaging thread on their phone, instruct the contact to reply Start on the message thread to opt back in.

  • If the contact has no messaging threads on their phone, you must locate the contact's unique KiNVO number.

    1. From the main menu, select Kinbox in the Messaging section.

    2. Click a message, and then choose More Info to display the KiNVO number.

    3. Share this number with the contact and instruct the contact to send the message Start to the number.
