PowerSchool SIS write-back

Absence reasons from SafeArrival can only be written back to SIS when there is a corresponding absence in the Student Information System. To enable this feature, contact SchoolMessenger Solutions Support.

The write-back happens only if:

• Write-Back is configured and enabled at the District, School, or Grade level, or for certain absence codes (Full Day and Multi-Day only).

• Absence Options in SafeArrival match PowerSchool absence codes.

• An absence is already recorded in PowerSchool. SafeArrival does not pre-populate the absence codes in PowerSchool for the full day ahead of time but will provide the absence code once an absence has been recorded for every period/session.

• SafeArrival must have a Full Day or Multiple Day absence for the student
