Parent Guardian Conversations

View Conversations with My Child’s Teacher

In your Chalk Parent Access view, select a class and click on the Conversation tab. From here, you will be able to see all posts, comments, and class announcements that your child’s teacher has made.

Start a Conversation with My Child’s Teacher

1. Choose to Start a Conversation...
2. Type in your message.
3. If needed, click the attachment icon (paperclip) to upload files to send to your child’s teacher.
4. Click Add Post

Leave Comments

1. Enter your comments in the comment box for the post.
2. Press Enter when done.

View Class Announcements

Any class announcements that your child’s teacher has created for a class will also show up under the Conversations tab view. 

You cannot comment on announcements that the teacher has created.

Edit Email Notification Settings

1. Click on your avatar in the main menu and select Account Settings.
2. Click on the Email Preferences tab.
3. Select or clear the option for Notifications when teacher starts a conversation or comments on your child’s student profile, depending on your preference.
