1EdTech TrustEd Apps™ Dashboard configuration
Configuration requirements
To configure the 1EdTech TrustEd App™ dashboard, you must have:
Schoology Learning Enterprise
LTI launch capability from your 1EdTech TrustedEd Apps Dashboard and access to IDs and URLs from 1EdTech
Step 1: Set up 1EdTech
Log in to TrustedEd Apps Management Suite as an administrator and navigate to the Compatibility Check portal.
From Compatibility Check, select TrustEd Apps and then choose Setup.
From Connection Details, copy and paste the following URLs into the corresponding fields. Enter the Client ID later.
Issuer ID: https://schoology.schoology.com
OIDC URL: https://lti-service.svc.schoology.com/lti-service/authorize-redirect
JWKS URL: https://lti-service.svc.schoology.com/lti-service/.well-known/jwks
Step 2: Set up Schoology
Log in to Schoology as an administrator.
From Tools, select User Management.
From the navigation menu, select Permissions.
From Schoology Apps and APIs, select Sytem Admin for Develop apps, and then choose Save Permissions.
From the Apps menu, select App Center.
Choose My Developer Apps.
Select Add App.
Complete the form.
Use these suggestions for the required fields:
App name: 1EdTech TrustEd App Dashboard
Description: Provide a brief description of the dashboard.
Category: Select the appropriate category. For Schoology, use Other or Technology.
Available for: Select Only people in my school.
Optionally, upload the 1EdTech TrustEd Apps seal from 1EdTech.
From the Type of App menu, select LTI 1.3 App, and then add or select the following information.
Can be installed for: App Center Dropdown Menu
Privacy: Do not send any user information
Domain/URL: From the 1EdTech connection details page, copy and paste the TrustEd Apps Launch URL.
OIDC Login Init URL: From the 1EdTech connection details page, copy and paste the TrustEd Apps OIDC Login initiation URL.
Redirect URL: From the 1EdTech connection details page, copy and paste the TrustEd Apps Launch URL.
Select the Terms of Use checkbox.
Select Submit.
From the 1EdTech TrustEd App Dashboard, select Options and then choose API Info from the menu.
Copy the Client ID, return to the 1EdTech Connect Details page, and paste the content into the Client ID field.
Confirm that all four fields are complete on the 1EdTech Connection Details page. Then click Save.
Step 3: Install and configure your app
In Schoology, select the Apps icon, App Center, and then choose My Developer Apps.
Select Install LTI 1.3 App.
Select I Agree to proceed with installation.
Choose Add to Organization.
Select the Install/Remove button.
Choose All Users, and then select the roles you want to have access to the dashboard.
Select Submit. This installed app will now display in the App Center so you can review your TrustEd apps from the dashboard. If the app does not appear, refresh the page.
