Parent Top 5 Issues for Back to School
Here are the top five issues that parents may encounter when jumping back into Schoology at the start of a new school year:
How do I sign up/get a parent access code for my child?
To sign up for an account, you'll need a Parent Access Code provided by one of your student's instructors. Parent Access Codes are 12-digit codes in this format: XXXX-XXXX-XXXX.
After you have the access code, follow the directions to Sign Up for a Parent Account.
How do I add another child?
If you have more than one child using Schoology, you can associate your existing account with their account.
Use the following steps to add a child:
Select your account, and then choose +Add Child.
Enter the Parent Access Code that your student's teacher provided.
I can’t see my child’s grades.
Contact your child’s instructor to confirm that grades have been published.
Contact your child’s instructor to confirm that overall grades are visible to students.
I don’t want to receive any more Schoology emails.
Turn off your Personal Account Notifications. Select your account, and then choose Settings. Select Notifications.
Turn off Daily/Weekly Parent Email Digests. Navigate to your student's activity overview. Select your student's name, and then choose Settings. Select Notifications.
To unsubscribe from marketing emails, navigate to the Subscription Center.
How do I delete my account?
If your child has graduated or changed schools, you'll need to delete your account and create a new one for the new school.
To delete your account: Navigate to https://app.schoology.com/settings/account/action?delete while logged into the account you'd like to delete.
