Course Template: Insert Additional Content

Users with permission to create and manage Course Templates can now insert additional content into the course where the template has already been published. This will give the Admins/Curriculum writers the ability to include additional materials that come in either after the start of the term or as the discussion progresses with other stakeholders.

New Grade Passback UI to Support Filtering, Search, and Sort of Materials

We are revamping the grade passback screen to provide enhanced search features such as sorting, filtering, assignment search, and updated statuses. Teachers can save time searching through assignment lists and can find the material they need exactly when they need it. This feature will be available by the end of November.

New Schoology apps in the App Center

• AverPoint Classroom - AverPoint Classroom promotes media literacy that prepares students for the digital age and helps teachers assess and improve each student’s media literacy over time. Our reading and writing tools integrate with social studies, ELA, and journalism classes. AverPoint Reader measures student reading time and critical thinking interactions. AverPoint Writer helps students develop argumentative essays that integrate evidence. Over time, students become more conscious of their information diet, learn to critically interact with information, and gain comfort in developing their own evidence-backed ideas.

• Johnnie Max - Johnnie Max is an online, supplemental oral language development and early literacy program that prepares PreK, TK, and K children for reading and writing success. The program helps teachers and families build oral language with nonfiction videos, eBooks, and vocabulary games that introduce, teach, and assess concepts and vocabulary in science, math, and social studies. Real-world photography from every continent delights and engages children as they become articulate communicators and thoughtful global citizens.
