Portal configuration

  • Filter resource links and apps by location, category, or who the link is available to.

  1. From the navigation menu, select Admin and choose Manage resource links and apps.

  2. Click Create Category.

  3. Enter the Category Name.

  4. Click Save.

  1. From the navigation menu, select Admin and choose Manage resource links and apps.

  2. Click Create Link.

  3. Enter the Link Category, Name, and URL.

  4. Choose who the link will be available to.

  5. Click Save.

  1. From the main navigation menu, select Admin and choose Manage resource links and apps.

  2. Select Edit (pencil), and then:

    1. Edit the link details and click Save.

    2. Click Delete and then click Delete to confirm.

Messaging settings

Audit messages

  1. From the main navigation menu, select Admin and choose Messaging settings.

  2. Select the Audit messages tab.

  3. Enter the name of the user you want to view messages to audit the user’s messages.

  4. Optionally, search for specific messages you want to review.

Audit log

  1. From the main navigation menu, select Admin and choose Messaging settings.

  2. Select the Audit log tab.

Content moderation

  1. From the main navigation menu, select Admin and choose Messaging settings.

  2. Select the Content moderation tab.

  3. Choose from the moderation setting options.

  4. Optionally, activate the Profanity filter, specify words to add to the default profanity list, and then click Save.

Message initiation

  1. From the main navigation menu, select Admin and choose Messaging settings.

  2. Select the Message initiation tab.

  3. Select Edit.

  4. Select Yes or No for each mapped role to determine who can initiate PowerBuddy conversations.

  5. Click Save.

PowerBuddy AI settings

Knowledge base

  1. From the main navigation menu, select Admin and choose PowerBuddy AI Settings.

  2. Choose Knowledge Base.

  3. Select Upload.

  4. On the Upload page, choose whether to upload a Document or provide a URL.

    1. Upload a document:

      1. Either drag and drop your file into the area provided or click to select your file.

    2. Provide a URL:

      1. Enter the URL.

  5. Enter a Title.

  6. Choose a Tag header that best represents the document.

  7. If you are uploading a document, enter the Document source. This is used to help categorize the document. For instance, you might want to classify that a document came from a school or district. In this scenario, you can designate either School or District as the document source.

  8. Click Upload.

On the Knowledge base page, you can check the upload status in the Last updated field.

Chat logs

  1. From the main navigation menu, select Admin and choose PowerBuddy AI Settings.

  2. Choose Chat logs.

  3. Choose Students, Staff, or Guardians to review the appropriate chat logs.

  4. Find the conversation and select Review Chats.

    • Optionally, enter search criteria to narrow your results. Chat logs default to the last seven days.

  5. Select a conversation to review.

  6. Optionally, download an individual conversation using one of the following options:

    • Select the Download icon (down arrow) for the conversation.

    • Open the conversation and select Download.

If a conversation has flagged chats, the number of flags is marked in the Flagged chats field for the student. Review the chat and open the conversation for more details.

AI can make mistakes when filtering content. Always review content to confirm accurate flagging.
