Add passage resource
These steps only apply if the resource you are adding to your item is not an image file. To preview a file before you add it, search for the resource and preview it within the search results.
Choose Items from the main navigation menu, then click New Item (Redesigned).
Alternatively, you can add an image resource to an existing item. Use the global search to locate an existing item and Edit the item in the Results list.
Place the cursor inside the item editing pane where you want to add the resource. You do not have to place the resource in an instruction block or interaction.
Choose Insert passage from the text editor.
Select Browse Server.
Choose the resource.
Select the appropriate organization, item source, or item bank to browse for a list of resource files.
Enter search criteria to locate a specific resource file.
Select the desired resource.
Choose whether to Blend surrounding font into passage. This will change the font of the passage to match the font used in the text before the passage.
Click OK.
Verify the resource URL is displayed in the properties window. Make any necessary changes to adjust the resource format.
Click OK.
If you select a PDF file, set the passage display height to 1000 to ensure the passage displays correctly in Online Testing.
To blend surrounding font styles for HTML passages, add the passage on the same line as your text or use Shift + Enter to start a new line. If different fonts are used before and after the passage, the font style before the passage will be applied. Just using Enter to start a new line will reset to the default font style.
You cannot edit or format passage resource content in the item editing pane. To edit the resource, you must use the resource editing pane accessed from the search results.
