Why are students missing my class?
The reason for absences for each class/period.
| Type | Column Label / Definition |
|---|---|
| Dimension | Absence Reason The primary reason for the absence. If a class spans 2 or 3 periods it will typically have 2 or 3 absence entries (one for each period) and the reason could potentially vary. Typical values include Unexcused, Medical, Athletic, NA (Not Applicable), etc. Reasons can (and often do) vary by School. |
| Dimension | Course The course and the period it is taking place in. |
| Dimension | Semester The semester (or trimester) number for the related school (1, 2, 3, etc.). Note that dates outside defined semester are set to Semester of 0. |

How prevalent are tardies in my classes?
The number of tardies for each class/period.

Students and their level of chronic absence.

All students with at least 1 absence and/or tardy for your class.

| Dimension | Course The course and the period it is taking place in. |
| Dimension | Attendance Type The type of attendance data for that period. As this is an absence (or negative attendance) table the types are: Absence, Late (Tardy), or Unknown. |
| Dimension | Student ID The student's code or ID number for the SIS system. This is padded with proceeding zeros to seven positions (e.g., 82901 becomes 0082901). |
| Dimension | Name The student's full name: last name, first name, middle initial, and suffix (Kirk, James T. Jr.) |
