Academics
-
Course Subjects: Map to the corresponding Course Subject. The data from the Course Subject column are pulled from your SIS; the Mapped To dataset displays on Academic metrics that concern subjects. Values in the Course Subject column map to English or Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, or Social Studies. To add a custom mapping, enter the new value in the text-combo field.
-
Scale Abbreviation: The data from the Scale Abbreviation columns are pulled from your SIS; the Mapped To dataset displays on Academics metrics that concern grade data. All values in the Scale Abbreviation column must map to A, B, C, D, F, 1, 2, 3, 4, Pass, Incomplete, or No Credit. For example, all scale code values from 90-100 are grouped as an A, the same applies to scale codes of A, A+, and A-, which are grouped as an A.
Behavior
-
Action Group: Map to the corresponding action. The data for the Action field is pulled from your SIS; the dataset in the Offence Type and Action Group displays on Incident metrics that concern actions. To add a custom mapping, enter the new value in the text-combo field. Use offence type Not Mapped for actions that no longer need to be mapped.
-
Offence Type: Map to the corresponding offence type. The data for Offence Type is pulled from your SIS; the dataset in the Offence Type Major Indicator field displays on metrics that concern incidents. The Offence Type Major Indicator is set to Yes by default.
-
Offence Group: Map an offence type to a user-defined offence group.
-
Log entries data ingestion mapping:
-
If your district uses Log Entries to capture behavior data in PowerSchool SIS, configure how SIS behavior fields map to Analytics & Insights behavior fields so A&I can correctly ingest and interpret behavior incident data from SIS.
-
After the mapping is configured and saved, data automatically transfers to Analytics & Insights during the nightly data synchronization process.
-
Note: This configuration is only required for districts using Log Entries. Districts using Incident Management do not use this mapping configuration.
-
Ensure your district uses Log Entries to record behavior incidents in PowerSchool SIS.
-
You must have permission to access district-level configuration settings.
Configure log entries data ingestion mapping
-
Click Edit (pencil) icon to edit the mapping.
-
Select the SIS field that best matches each A&I field.
-
Repeat this process for all required mappings.

-
The system automatically processes the mapping.
-
Behavior data begins flowing from SIS to Analytics & Insights during the nightly synchronization.
-
No additional action is required from teachers or staff after the initial setup.
Important: The mapping must be configured before A&I can correctly interpret and display behavior data captured through log entries.
