Federal Ethnicity and Race setting update

An update was made to the data passed from SIS to Unified Insights regarding the Federal Ethnicity and Race codes for all states. With this change, if the Federal Category code is set for Race, then that data is passed from SIS. Conversely, if the Federal Category code is NOT set for Race, then the District Race code is passed from SIS. This change applies to each individual Race code.

Issue

Current year student data on Classroom dashboards

1. All users will now see data for current year students on the below metrics on Classroom dashboards:

• Overview, "What are the distribution of grades in my courses?"
• Academics, Grades, "How are grades trending in my classroom?"
• Academics, Grades, "Who are my students currently failing my course?"
• Academics, Grades, "What grades are students receiving in their courses?"

2. All users will now see that the course filters show data for the students within the selected course on Classroom dashboards.

Updates to District Configuration

Several changes were made to the District Configuration utility app.

Existing tabs were updated as follows:

A Schools tab was added to control the display of schools. Set a school’s Reported status to “Y” to include the school data on relevant dashboards; set it to “N” to exclude a school from the display.

Metrics now reference 5 days of data

All metrics on the Attendance and Enrollment dashboards that referenced 7 days of data were updated to refer to 5 (school) days of data. This update was made to avoid confusion as to the timeframe of the data in the metric.

Updated Teacher Analysis sub-dashboard

The Academics Teacher Analysis sub-dashboard was updated to show data for the current school year by default. In addition, it now shows Course Section Name and Period for all metrics.

Filter updates on all dashboards

Users will see the below filter updates made on all dashboards in both Essentials and Classroom:

• A Programs filter was added to the standard filter data set for all dashboards, as well as the School Profile page.
• A Grading Period option was added to the filter set for Academics Teacher Analysis sub-dashboard.
• Data for previous school years is now available using the Year filter option that was added to the Academics School Skill Progress and Student Skill Progress sub-dashboards. By default, the sub-dashboards load with current school year data.
• A School Type option was added to the filter set for all dashboards. All metrics and filters update based on SIS-defined School Types (for example, elementary, middle, and high school). Based on the School Type selection, applicable schools are automatically selected in the filter.
• Multiple courses can now be selected in the Course filter set on all Classroom sub-dashboards. Previously, users could only make a single selection.

SPED, ELL, Ethnicity, and F&RL status added to the Student Detail page

SPED, ELL, Ethnicity, and Free & Reduced Lunch data is now available on the Student Details page. User access role-level security still applies; users will only see data they have access to.

Student Plans

Delete student plan from Student Profile

A student plan can be deleted on the Student Profile page under the Student Plans sub-dashboard. Only the user that created the plan can delete it.

District admins can read and edit student plans

District Admin users can view and edit student plans created by other users; they cannot delete student plans created by other users. Student plans can only be deleted by the user who created the plan.
