Feature

Description

Student Analytics and Classroom include Attendance Intervention Suite Analytics

Student Analytics and Classroom now feature the AIS Analytics module, seamlessly integrating data from the Student Information System (SIS) and Attendance Intervention Suite (AIS). This module provides descriptive, actionable, and correlation-based insights, empowering administrators and educators to make informed, data-driven decisions. With AIS Analytics, schools can effectively promote student attendance, reduce chronic absenteeism, and create a more supportive learning environment for all students.

The AIS Analytics module is available to customers with Attendance Intervention Suite and Analytics & Insights Student Analytics.

Feature highlights

  • Student attendance insights: Analyze student attendance patterns through AIS-based tiers, segmented by key demographics from SIS data (such as race, gender, and programs). This helps identify areas of disproportionality and improvement opportunities.

  • Actionable data on student contacts: Gain actionable insights to detect gaps in your district or school student contact information, enabling timely interventions.

  • Communication trends: Review comprehensive insights on AIS communications with students and guardians, segmented by demographic data to spot disproportionalities and improve outreach strategies.

  • MTSS integration: Easily assign MTSS interventions to individual students or student groups directly from AIS Analytics for more targeted support.

Module navigation

  • Administrators: Navigate to Analytics & Insights, Dashboards, Student Analytics, Attendance Intervention Suite.

  • Teachers: Navigate to Analytics & Insights, Dashboards, Classroom, My Attendance Intervention Suite.

MTSS interventions: Bulk print student reports

Added a new bulk print option to the Student Overview tab, allowing users to manage student reports more efficiently.

  • Bulk print report: A new "Print report" option is available under Bulk options, enabled when one or more students are selected.

  • Selection limits: The "Print report" feature is disabled for selections of more than 10 students, with a tooltip advising to “Limit your selection to 10 students.”

  • Multiple reports: After selecting students, users can generate multiple reports in separate tabs, with each student’s report displayed in a separate tab.

  • Notes selection: If a student has intervention notes, the option to include public/private notes is enabled in the report dialog.

MTSS Interventions: Scheduling assistant

Added MTSS Interventions scheduling assistant to simplify planning meetings for interventions. Instead of manually selecting each meeting date, users can now schedule sessions in advance:

  • Choose the number of sessions (meetings needed)

  • Set the repeat interval (weekly, biweekly, monthly)

  • Select the specific meeting days (e.g., Mon, Tue, Wed) to efficiently plan meetings for an entire year by adjusting the sessions and days. Additionally, for untimed interventions, users can edit the start and end dates for active interventions.

MTSS Interventions: Meeting date option in Notes

MTSS Interventions Notes section now has an "Add to meeting date" field.

  • Lists all intervention meeting dates.

  • Auto-selects today’s date or the most recent meeting date.

  • Users can deselect the meeting date and save the note without a date.

  • Dates are non-interactive in Observation notes.

MTSS Interventions: Attachment support in Notes

Enhanced the MTSS Interventions Notes section by adding support for attachments, giving the user more flexibility to upload and manage student-related information. Key features include:

  • File upload: Supported file types include images (.jpg, .jpeg, .png), PDFs, Excel (.xlsx, .csv), Word documents, video/audio files (.mp4, .mp3), and more.

  • Separate Attachments tab: All uploaded attachments are listed in a dedicated tab, sorted by the date they were added (most recent first).

  • File preview: Select an attachment to preview supported files directly in your browser. Unsupported files will be available for download.

  • File management: Attachments can be linked to a note with specific meeting dates and associated with one or multiple students for easy tracking.

This update makes it easier to organize and access important student information across interventions. Attachment size is limited to 50MB per attachment.

MTSS Interventions: Notes access from Observations tab

Users can now record daily updates in notes directly from the Observations tab.

  • Use the Note icon on a student card to add a note specific to the selected meeting date and student.

  • The note count displays the total number of notes for the student for the selected date.

  • Notes created in the Observation tab will also be available on the main Notes page, ensuring easy access.

  • When printing reports for individual students, notes added from the Observations tab will be included, providing a comprehensive view of the student's interactions and progress.

MTSS Interventions: Pinned and marked interventions

Users can now pin interventions and move them to the top of their intervention list for quick access. Pinned interventions are grouped in a separate section above "Today's Interventions," sorted alphabetically.

In addition, newly assigned interventions to staff are now marked and highlighted with a bold blue left border. Once opened, the marking is removed.

MTSS Interventions: Print intervention report for multiple students

Users can now print intervention details for multiple students. After selecting the Print Intervention button, the “Print student intervention details” dialog features the following sections:

  • Select students to print: Displays all students linked to the intervention, regardless of their status.

  • Select goals to print: Lists all goals associated with the intervention.

  • Include notes: Options to include intervention public notes, intervention private notes, student public notes, and student private notes.

By default, no students or goals are pre-selected, ensuring users actively choose their desired options before proceeding.

The "Print preview" button is disabled until users make the necessary selections. At least one note or goal must be selected for the button to become active.

If there are no goals or notes, the Print Intervention button on the intervention page is disabled.

MTSS Interventions: School filter

Added a school filter to MTSS Interventions.

  • School selection: Users can now only add students and staff who belong to the schools selected in the intervention plan. This means that the schools currently listed in the plan will dictate which interventions can be carried out.

  • Backward compatibility: To ensure a smooth transition for existing users, those who previously used a plan without their school marked will still have access to that intervention plan. We’ve automatically selected the appropriate schools from the backend to maintain the workflow.

  • Dropdown functionality: In the school dropdown menu within the intervention plan, if any student or staff member associated with a school is currently using that plan, those schools will be disabled in the plan, preventing any changes.

  • Student group addition: While adding students from a student group, whether in an intervention or directly from dashboard visuals, if users select students that do not belong to the school associated with the intervention plan, they will receive an error message that those students will not be added. Qualifying students will be added and confirmed by a success message.

  • Move student functionality: Students can only be moved between interventions if their school matches the school list of the target intervention. If not, the move will be blocked to ensure school alignment in both interventions.

This update is designed to streamline the intervention processes while maintaining continuity for existing interventions.

MTSS Student Plans: Plan access roles available from PowerSchool SIS user groups plugin

Updated the Analytics & Insights PowerSchool SIS User Groups plugin to include the following MTSS Student Plans plan access roles to provide mapping of user to the following roles:

  • MTSS - Student Plans State Admin

  • MTSS - Student Plans District Admin

  • MTSS - Student Plans District Manager

  • MTSS - Student Plans Author

  • MTSS - Student Plans Viewer

MTSS Student Plans: Bulk create plans

Dashboard users, with access to MTSS Student Plans, can select a group of students from a dashboard metric and bulk create student plans based on a single plan template for each student with the ability to bulk set the following fields for each student:

  • Plan Template

  • Start Date

  • End Date

  • Staff (optional)

  • Plan Name (with Template Name and Student name as macro options)

  • Checkbox option which checks if an existing student plan based on the selected template exists and to not create another plan for those students with an existing plan from the same template.

Note: There is a maximum of 2000 student plans that can be created from a single bulk creation request, therefore users should filter down to no more than 2000 students.

MTSS Student Plans: Added MTSS Interventions data domain

Updated the Student Plans data domain options to include a new interventions form component to bring data from MTSS Interventions into Student Plans, with support for the following data fields:

Intervention Plan, Intervention Name, Intervention Status, Instructor, Level, Type, Subtype, First Meeting Date, Last Meeting Date, Days, Goal Count, Visibility, Funding, Description, Intervention Secured, Is State Level, Is State Type, and Is State Plan.

Intervention data domain also includes the following filters:
