Assessment reports: Evaluating student overall results (AMP)
After creating and distributing managed assessments, educators can evaluate student results with Assessment Reports:
Overall results
Mastery results
Item-level results
Exporting item-level results
Auto-export managed assessment reports
Each report is available for current, inactive, and archived courses and sections.
AMP assessment reports
To open and review reports for Schoology Managed Assessments, click AMP, select Assessment Reports, and then search for or compare managed assessments. Click an assessment tile to open the Assessment Summary dashboard for more details.
From the dashboard, you can view high-level, item- and student-based assessment data and drill down into detailed reports.
Results take up to 24 hours to appear in the Assessment Reports dashboard after students submit the assessment.
Overall results table
From the Assessment Summary, click View All Students, View All Schools, View All Instructors, or View All Sections to open the Overall Results table.
The table displays:
Students who took the selected managed assessment
Each student’s Overall Score
The student’s building
The student’s section
Table features:
Click column arrows to sort results.
Scores are color-coded:
Gray: 0%
Red: 1–49%
Yellow: 50–74%
Green: 75–100%
Use the menus to change the report type, assessment, or date range.
Filter results
Student view
Use the filters to review results by building, section, or instructor.
Click + More Filters to narrow results by demographics or score range.
The Score Range filter displays only students whose Overall Score falls within the selected range.
Aggregate view
Use the View filter to review results aggregated by Sections, Instructor, or School.
Selecting a view displays the following for each group:
Average score
Median score
Count of submissions
Standard deviation (shows score dispersion within the group)
Highest score
Lowest score
You cannot currently filter by the percentage of students who have taken the assessment. Data may be incomplete if not all students have submitted the assessment.
Click the arrows in each column to sort the results in ascending or descending order.
Sort by Standard Deviation to compare how an individual student scored relative to the rest of the cohort taking the assessment, and to understand the dispersion of scores within an assessment.
The highest column displays the highest score within each of the selected parameters (course section, instructor, or school).
The lowest column displays the lowest score within each of the selected parameters (course section, instructor, or school).
Filter results
Use filters to refine your dashboard view.
Click + More Filters to narrow results by demographics or score range. Then, click Apply to display the results.
The Score Range filter shows groups whose Average Score falls within the selected range.
Switch assessments
To review a different managed assessment, click the Assessment field and begin typing the assessment name. The list filters automatically to show matching assessments.
Export results
Click Export CSV to export the data from your table.
An Export Summary will display, showing the filters you’ve applied and asking you to confirm the export.
The exported file will be sent to the email address associated with your account.
You can filter the export by Sections, Instructors, or Schools.
Score Range or demographic filters from + More Filters are not applied to the exported CSV.
All applied filters will be displayed in the Export Summary.
