Building managed assessments with KDS Inspect Item Bank (AMP)
KDS Inspect Item Bank Integration
The Key Data Systems (KDS) Inspect Item Bank provides high-quality content in:
ELA, Math, History, and Science: Grades K–12
Schoology AMP customers can purchase access and use the item bank seamlessly within Schoology. Contact your Schoology representative for details.
When enabled, Inspect Item Bank is an option when associating question banks with a managed assessment in AMP.
Add KDS Inspect items
Select AMP and choose Assessment Teams.
Select an Assessment Team.
Select a managed assessment.
Select From Question Banks and choose Inspect Item Bank.
Select search criteria.
Search results must match all criteria. If no results appear, remove filters to broaden the search.
Use the KDS Items by Learning Objectives Report for your state to see which objectives have aligned items. Contact your Schoology representative if you don’t have this report.
Copy the exact Learning Objective reference from the report. Search by the child objective if applicable.
Paste the reference into the Select Learning Objectives field and select it.
Select an item reference number to preview it.
Click Show Answers to review the item, aligned objectives, and correct answers.
Items tied to passages include the Passages tag. To find them, search with Question Type = Shared Passage.
The preview shows the passage alongside the associated items. Other items linked to the same passage are displayed below the selected item.
Select the items to add and click Add to Assessment. After the item has been added successfully, you can return to your search results or create a new search.
Copy text or a passage from an item to search for similar items using Keyword.
Shared passage items added later remain under the same passage in the assessment.
Click the X to exit the item bank and return to your assessment.
Manage assessment items
After items are added, you can:
Set possible points per item.
Rearrange items.
Make the assessment Active.
Distribute it to courses.
