Grades Disappeared After Individually Assigning

Question

One of my students was absent on quiz day. To enable the quiz for this student, I individually assigned the quiz, but the grades for all the other students disappeared from my gradebook! How do I retrieve those grades?

Answer

Once the students who have been individually assigned the quiz have completed the quiz, navigate to your quiz and remove the individual assignment(s). You will see the grades for every student who has taken this quiz reappear in your gradebook.

To remove the individual assignment(s): 

1. Click the gear icon next to the item. 
2. Click Edit. 
3. Within the Assign to field, either click the X next to each student's name or backspace to delete. 
4. Click Save Changes.
