| Online Testing | Password Support for Online Testing | There is a new test level setting available on the Test Edit page under the Administration tab. This new setting requires students to enter a password to start their online test, which will allow test administrators to proactively release tests and prevent them from being accessed until the password is provided for students to begin the test. The base password can be entered manually or suggested with a randomized password to make it more difficult to remember. It is an overall test password, so if a test has more than one section, the same password is utilized for each section. The test administrator must release the test sections in the order in which they should be administered using the test level password, which can be updated between sections if needed. There is also an option to append the base password with a student-specific randomized ID. If you select 'Append Random ID,' a randomized numeric value is added at the end of the baseline password to prevent students from sharing the test password across class periods. If necessary, you can indicate when the password expires, which will prevent the student from taking the test until the password is updated or the test level setting is removed. The password is available in OLA Student Admin for test administrators who do not have permission to edit the test. | Password Support for Online Testing |
