Manage dashboards

The Portal contains two types of dashboards:

1. Customizable dashboards are dashboards you can add and configure as a dashboard developer:
   
   Create a dashboard

   Add metrics

   • Content definitions
   • Tooltips
   • Drill links
   • Query Designer

   Define filters

   • Dashboard filters
   • Metric filters

   Set variables

   • Scoped variables
   • System variables
   • VARIABLE functions
2. Non-customizable (default) dashboards belong to a content group configured by PowerSchool. Dashboard developers can access appropriate Dashboard tools but cannot modify any security-related settings or metric properties. Portal objects within this group are flagged with a Locked Content message in the metric properties.
