PD integration

Depending on permissions, you can add Professional Development (PD) Integrations to the "Integrated PD" drop-down on dashboards. Before you can do so, an External PD Service must be configured in Site AdministrationServicesExternal Services.

If a PD Integration is placed on a specific dashboard, it will only appear on that dashboard. However, sometimes PD is relevant to all the dashboards within a folder. In cases like that, the PD integration can be created at the folder level and it will automatically appear on each of the dashboards within that folder.

To integrate a PD module on a dashboard:

  1. Use the navigation tree to find and select the dashboard to which you will add the PD Integration.
  2. Choose +New, then select PD Integration.
  3. Enter a Display Name; this is the name that appears in the Integrated PD drop-down.
  4. To add a standard integrated PD:
    1. Select Hoonuit PD as the module type.
    2. the Type of link for the PD integration object to specify if this is Unified Insights PD or a custom URL.
    3. Enter the PD reporting Module ID the user will be redirected to on selection of the PD integration object. The module ID is passed to the Redirect URL that was configured in External PD Services Object. If the External PD Service allows an entire URL to be passed to the Redirect (e.g., a Single Item External PD Service), enter the URL for the link.
    4. Select which External PD Service definition is to be used; this determines what PD Integration site the user will be redirected to and how they will be authenticated.
  5. To add a custom integrated PD:
    1. Select URL as the module type.
    2. Enter the Custom URL.
  6. Click Save.
  7. Repeat these steps for each module you want to appear in the Integrated PD drop-down for the selected dashboard.
