Create Lesson Plan within Resources

You may want to create a lesson plan outside of your current timetable and not associated with a schedule. Perhaps you have a new class next term and want to create material ahead of time, or maybe your role is within the district, and you create reusable lesson content for other teachers to import and use within their classes.

  1. On the main menu, choose Resources
The Resources page is where you will find all of the Lessons, Lesson Groups, and other items that have been shared with you or that you have shared with others.
  2. On the Resources page, click Create a Lesson.
  3. On the Create a new lesson dialog, enter a title and select whether you want to begin with a template or start fresh with a blank page.
  4. Add content to your new shared lesson plan. This is done the same way as in other areas of the lesson planner -- add text, images, video, or other elements to the editing canvas. Don’t forget to add attachments from your computer or Google Drive or link to external sites or online resources if appropriate.

Just as with other shared lessons, you can import your new lesson into specific classes on your schedule. Either overwrite or shift existing lessons to accommodate your new lesson.

You do not have to import your new shared lessons right away. You can plan lessons directly within Resources and then, when ready, import them to your planner to associate with relevant standards and curriculum.
