Learn how educators connect outside calendar feeds (such as district Outlook or Google feeds) to broadcast schedules to student groups, subscribe to MyPowerHub events from professional staff calendar applications, manage SIS schedule clutter, and download calendar snapshots.
Educator calendar actions overview
The Calendar actions menu allows you to link external schedules, broadcast department or athletic calendars to student rosters, generate automated subscription feeds for your staff calendar, and export offline snapshots.
To access these actions, go to the main navigation menu, choose Calendar, and select Calendar actions.
Link an external calendar to MyPowerHub
Connect an external professional calendar feed to MyPowerHub to either view work schedules privately or broadcast departmental, grade-level, or athletic schedules directly to student rosters and family portals.
Obtain the published ICS feed link from your calendar provider
Before linking in MyPowerHub, generate and copy the published iCalendar feed link from your external calendar provider, such as Microsoft Outlook or Google Calendar.
-
Open your external calendar application's sharing or publishing settings.
-
Set event viewing permissions to allow viewers to view full event details.
-
Publish the calendar and copy the published ICS feed URL.
-
You must copy the published ICS link (typically ending in .ics). Do not copy a standard web browser page HTML URL, as MyPowerHub requires an iCalendar feed to parse and sync events.
-
Refer to your calendar provider's documentation for platform-specific instructions on publishing shared calendars.
-
If calendar publishing is restricted by organizational policy, consult your district IT administrator.

It may take up to 24 hours for your external calendar provider to complete the first synchronization. To confirm your subscription is active, temporarily deselect other calendars in your application to verify that MyPowerHub events appear on scheduled dates.
Show or hide PowerSchool SIS class schedules
Show or hide automated SIS-driven class schedule entries in MyPowerHub to reduce visual clutter from repeating daily class periods.
-
Select Calendar from the main navigation menu.
-
From Calendar actions, choose Manage calendars.
-
Under PowerSchool calendars, select or clear the PowerSchool SIS class schedule checkbox.
-
Close the window to apply your display preference.
Download an offline calendar file (.ics)
Export a static snapshot of your MyPowerHub calendar as an iCalendar (.ics) file for offline record-keeping or manual backup.
-
Select Calendar from the main navigation menu.
-
From Calendar actions, choose Download.
-
Save the generated .ics file to your device.
-
Open your external calendar application and follow its documentation for importing calendar files, such as Upload from file or Import calendar, to add the events to your chosen calendar.
A downloaded .ics file is a one-time static copy. Changes made in MyPowerHub after downloading will not update your external calendar. To keep events synchronized automatically, use Subscribe instead.
