Home page and navigation (students)

Your home page is the first page you reach when you log in to Schoology. Your home page may display your recent activity or a course dashboard.

Feature	Description
Recent Activity	Recent Activity displays all comments and updates about your schools, courses, and groups. To filter your feed so that it only displays Updates, Polls, or Blog posts, click Most Recent and select a filtering option.
Course Dashboard	The Course Dashboard displays all your courses as a tiled list. You can drag and drop the tiles to rearrange the order of your courses on the dashboard. This order will also be reflected in the Courses drop-down menu. Only the first 12 tiles are displayed in the Courses drop-down menu. From the Course Dashboard, choose a course to navigate to its main landing page. If you would prefer to display the Course Dashboard as your default home page, you can adjust this in Account Settings.
Assignments	Assignments displays all upcoming, submitted, and missing materials from your courses. You can review the due date, teacher comments, exceptions, grades, course name, and category for each assignment. You can also filter the list of materials by course. Select a material to show more details, such as material description, teacher's comments, and learning objectives. Click Review in course to open the material in a new page.
PowerBuddy chat logs	Select Access chat history to review your past chats with PowerBuddy. Depending on the settings in place at your school, PowerBuddy chat logs may not be available to you.
To Do	The To Do section of your home page displays events, assignments, tests and quizzes, and discussions with an associated due date. Move the pointer over each item to display the course or group associated with the item, or move the pointer over the clock or exclamation point icons to display when the material is due. If a student has at least three overdue items, an option will display to allow the user to access the additional overdue work. The Recently Completed section displays materials submitted to be graded. Move the pointer over the icons associated with each material to display the grading status or the grade for that assignment. More than three items that have the same due date will be displayed in the To Do list. Test/Quiz displays in the To Do list only when submissions are enabled. Grade columns and LTI types will only display in Recently Completed after they are graded. Use the Calendar link in the Upcoming section to navigate to your Calendar.
Grades and attendance	Review a breakdown of your grades for each course and a record of your attendance. Select Grades, and then select Grade Report or Attendance. Depending on the settings in place at your school, Grades and some of its contents may not be available to you.

Search	Use the Search tool (magnifying glass icon) to search for your teachers, courses, and groups.
App Center	The App Center allows your teachers to give you access to content and software developed by other companies directly from within the Schoology website. Depending on the settings in place at your school, the App Center and some of its contents may not be available to you. Contact your instructor with questions about which apps are available to students in this area.
Calendar	The Schoology Calendar is an organizational element for your connections, courses, and groups. It keeps events and due dates organized and accessible. Click the Calendar icon to access events and due dates by month, week, or day.
Messages	Depending on the settings in place at your school, you may be able to receive and send messages to teachers at your school.
Notifications	Notifications display course events in chronological order and requests to RSVP to calendar events. A number on the bell icon indicates new notifications or requests. Click a notification or request to access the related content.

Support Center	Access the Support Center to display your support contacts, support options, and links to the Schoology Help Center and Community forums.
Schoology Blog	Use this to navigate to our blog, the Schoology Exchange.
Privacy Policy	Access our Privacy Policy.
Terms of Use	Access our Terms of Use.
