Enhanced Conversational Experience

PowerBuddy for Data Analysis (PBDA) now provides a more intelligent and conversational analytics experience with improved reasoning, explainability, and reliability.

Key improvements include:

  • Improved understanding of user intent for more accurate query generation and results.

  • Enhanced validation of generated queries before returning results.

  • Better handling of zero-record scenarios with explanations instead of failures.

  • User-friendly explanations that highlight key assumptions, filters, and reasoning used to derive results, providing greater transparency and helping users validate results without needing to troubleshoot generated SQL queries directly.

  • Improved support for conversational follow-up questions, allowing users to refine analysis using natural language.

  • Enhanced metadata exploration to help users understand view definitions, calculations, and data relationships.


Note:
Natural language questions are currently supported across core PowerSchool SIS domains, including Attendance, Behavior, Enrollment, Demographics, Grades, Fees, and Assignments.
Support for state reporting tables and customer-specific custom tables is planned for future releases.
