Dashboard content is controlled by filters that retrieve data that meets the filters' selection criteria. Individual dashboards, when combined, deliver a comprehensive picture of district, school, and student performance.
When you add a dashboard filter, it consists of two parts:

A filter control exists on a dashboard page; this is what a user uses to limit values.

A filter column is added to the metric; the metric uses the selected value from the filter control.
