Add a field description in a curriculum map template

You can add field descriptions to guide curriculum writers as they work on a curriculum map, helping them understand the purpose of each field.

You can add field descriptions when a curriculum map template is in draft or published state.

Add description to draft template

1. From the Curriculum menu, select Templates.

2. Select the required template.

3. Locate the field you want to add a description to and click Add within Field Description.

4. Enter the description.

5. Click Publish.

Add description to published template

1. From the Curriculum menu, select Templates.

2. Select the required template.

3. Click Create Draft.

4. Locate the field you want to add a description to and click Add within Field Description.

5. Enter the description.

6. Click Publish.

Publishing a curriculum map template will not update existing curriculum maps. Contact PowerSchool Support if you would like to update existing curriculum maps with the updated template you published.
