Share Lesson Plans to Schoology

This feature is available to Chalk Gold subscribers and teachers whose schools are subscribed to the Instruction Solution. You will not have this option if you are a free user.

Lessons added to Schoology courses can be added as a public link, with any saved changes made to the original lessons viewable by the students in your Schoology course, or can be directly embedded in your course materials. Do not include information in your lesson plans you do not want others to access.

Complete your Schoology setup before sharing lessons through the lesson planner. If you are just starting, you can import your courses from Schoology.

You can share either single lessons, a day's worth of lessons, or a week's worth of lessons for all subjects to Schoology. If you share a day or week's worth of lessons, you can select which subjects are visible by editing the public link settings for each given day or week.

  1. Navigate to the lesson you want to share with Schoology from any view in your planner. Open the lesson and click Share in the lesson editor.
  2. Navigate to the Schoology tab.
  3. Click Sign in with Schoology and follow the instructions to access your account. You will not need to perform this step if your subjects are linked to Schoology.
  4. Select which Schoology course you want to share with. Then choose how you want to lesson to Share As.
    1. If you upload the lesson as an update, enter a title and message to be displayed with the lesson. The lesson will be added to the update as an attachment. Click Post Update when finished.
    2. If you upload the lesson as material, you can enter a title and then click Add to Materials. Select where to save your lesson. Click Add It Here when finished.

Your lesson is now posted to Schoology. Click the View button to open a browser tab to review your Schoology post.
