You can import user profile pictures for multiple users at once. Supported image file types are .jpg, .png, and .gif.
Prepare image files
Name each image file using either the user's Username or School Unique ID, depending on the update method you will use during import.
-
If you match files by Username, make sure every user account has a username in Schoology.
-
If you match files by School Unique ID, first export your user list and include the Unique User ID field.
The School Unique ID is different from the Schoology User ID. The School Unique ID is used to match users with external systems during imports and exports.
Create a ZIP file
After matching each image file to the appropriate Username or School Unique ID, compress all image files into a single ZIP file.
-
Do not include folders within the ZIP file. Place all image files in the root of the ZIP file.
-
The ZIP file must be 50 MB or smaller. If your images exceed this limit, create multiple ZIP files.
