The following configuration steps are recommended for school and district network administrators to ensure uninterrupted access to Schoology Learning.
Recommended pre-checks
-
Run a network speed test during peak school or workday hours to verify adequate bandwidth.
-
Add *.schoology.com to your network allowlist.
-
Review firewall rules for blocks against common Schoology-related URLs and IP ranges.

Google ad services
If your network has firewall rules blocking Google Ad Services, Schoology Learning may load slowly. Schoology Learning embeds Google Ad tags to suppress Schoology advertisements for authenticated users on external sites. These tags do not collect personally identifiable information (PII) or sensitive student data. Remove blocks against Google Ad Services for optimal performance.
AWS CloudFront CDN
Schoology Learning uses AWS CloudFront as its content delivery network (CDN) to deliver media and static web resources to end users. If your network restricts outbound internet traffic, remove any blocks on CloudFront IP address ranges to prevent resource-loading failures.
Schoology Learning IP addresses for firewall allowlisting
If your on-premises SIS requires explicit IP allowlisting to integrate with Schoology Learning, add the following addresses to your firewall rules.
For security purposes, IP addresses associated with the Schoology SCORM subsystem and the AWS CloudFront CDN may change without notice. Allowlisting domain names (e.g., *.schoology.com) is strongly recommended instead of, or in addition to, IP addresses.

Assessments – AMP and course assessments
If your district uses Course Assessments or the Assessment Management Platform (AMP) powered by Learnosity, add the following domains to your network allowlist to ensure images, audio, and video files embedded in assessment questions load correctly:
-
*.learnosity.com
-
s3.amazonaws.com/assets.learnosity.com
-
