Use grading periods

Grading periods in Schoology

Each course section can be linked to one or more grading periods, with start and end dates for auto-archiving past courses and preparing future ones.

Create a new course section instead of reusing old materials.

Depending on your school or organization settings, you can review current or archived courses by selecting Courses, My Courses, and then clicking Current or Archived

  • The Gradebook is organized by grading periods. Create grading periods for each reporting interval instead of one long period for year-long courses. If you use the enterprise version of Schoology, the Grading Periods & Final Weights field in Grade Setup may not be editable based on your organization settings.

  • The Gradebook automatically calculates an overall score combining all materials and all grading periods.
