Click the assignment’s gear icon to manage the assignment, including edit, move to folder, and more.
Click the assignment to open it or choose a tab.

Review the due date, time, and description.

Open the Microsoft file you selected in a new tab in your browser.

Any edits you make apply only to copies created after your edits. Copies already made will not update.

Review a grading rubric, if used.

Switch between course sections, if linked.
In Progress tab

Review a list of all students who haven’t submitted their assignment.

Select a student's name to review their copy of your original document before submitting it.

Monitor students' progress and provide feedback using the OneDrive feedback tools.
The In Progress tab displays students who have created their own copy of your file and those who have not.
Student copies of your document
As the instructor, you are the owner of the document in Microsoft, and the file is shared with your students. Students create their own copy of your original file from the My Document tab.
Students must be logged into their own OneDrive accounts through their browser to create a copy of your original file.
Reviewing in progress files
To open a student's copy of the document from OneDrive, click Open.
Students can edit files until they submit.
After submission:

Files are locked for students but remain editable by you as the file owner.

The file moves from In Progress to the Submissions tab.

Review all submitted assignments.

Select a student’s name to display their document.

Filter the submissions list.

Enter a score or add comments.

Click Exception to apply an exception.

If grading with a rubric, select the rubric icon to enter scores and comments.

Click Unsubmit to return the file to In Progress so the student can continue working.

Click Open to provide feedback in OneDrive. Inserting images is not supported.
