Schoology new features and enhancements

Features for the Schoology March 2026 release are expected to be available on March 25, 2026.

Clear in progress status while SIS–Schoology syncs are running	We have updated SIS–Schoology provisioning pages to clearly show when syncs are actively running. While a manual or scheduled sync is in progress, the Sync Time (mm:ss) column now displays an animated icon with the label In progress instead of the last completed time. This applies across the Users, Courses, Sections, and Grading Tasks (InfiniteCampus) tabs for PowerSchool SIS, SISAdapter, and SISConnect. After a sync finishes, the column displays the existing exact completion time.
New Schoology apps in the App Center	Defined (LTI 1.3) Defined Learning provides K–12 educators with hundreds of standards-aligned, cross-curricular projects rooted in project-based learning (PBL). Each project is designed around authentic, real-world scenarios that help students apply academic knowledge while exploring careers and building future-ready skills. Defined Careers extends this experience by connecting students directly to over 700 career pathways through exploration, work-based learning activities, and readiness tools. By engaging with authentic tasks and skill-based practice, students gain the confidence and clarity needed to enter the workforce prepared for success. Together, our platforms empower districts to deliver Career Connected Learning at scale—linking classroom instruction with authentic career experiences, so every student can see the relevance of their learning and chart a meaningful future.
