Sign in to the mobile app (students)

Sign in through your school

This is the most common method if your school has a Schoology site.

  1. Open the Schoology app.

  2. Select the school sign-in option, either Sign in through my school or School or domain, depending on your device.

  3. Search for your school or district name. If you cannot find your school, confirm the spelling with your teacher or try searching by district name.

  4. Select your school from the results.

  5. Enter your school credentials (username and password).

  6. Tap Log In / Sign In.

Your school selection is saved for future logins. To change it, tap the search icon on the sign-in screen.

If your school uses single sign-on (SSO), selecting your school will redirect you to the appropriate login screen.

  • Select Log In Through Your School.

  • If prompted, select or enter your Google account credentials.

  • Click Approve to authorize the app.

Logging out of Schoology does not log you out of your Google account. Be sure to log out of your Google account separately in your mobile browser.

Sign in with a Schoology.com account

Use this method only if you created an account directly on Schoology.com (not through a school).

  1. Open the Schoology app.

  2. Tap Sign in with my account or Continue.

  3. Enter your email/username and password.

  4. Tap Log In.

Do not use this option if your school provides your Schoology account. Use the school sign-in method above instead.

Sign in with a QR code

  1. Open the Schoology app.

  2. Tap Sign in with a QR Code (or Scan QR Code).

  3. Allow camera access if prompted.

  4. Point your camera at the QR code provided by your teacher.

Canada users

If you sign in at app.schoologyca.com, tap I sign in to app.schoologyca.com on the sign-in screen, then follow the school sign-in steps above.


  • On shared devices, always sign out when finished to protect your account.
