If you receive a Schoology notification that shared content you can access is scheduled for deletion, save any content you want to keep for future use to your own Resources before the deletion date.
Your role and permissions determine which content you can save or copy. Instructors and course administrators with the appropriate permissions can save course materials to Resources. Group members can copy Group materials to their personal Resources. Contact your district administrator if the following options aren’t available.
Refer to the Personal resources page to learn more about your personal library.
Before you begin
-
Check the deletion date shown in Schoology.
-
Decide which courses, materials, or resources to keep.
-
Optionally, if you're saving several items, create a personal Collection first so everything is stored in one place.
Save a course or course section
To keep a course or course section, use Save Course to Resources.
-
Open the course.
-
Select Options and choose Save Course to Resources.
-
Select the collection where the course should be saved.
-
Select the appropriate folder.
-
For Save as, select Folder with Resources.
-
Select Submit. The course is saved to your Resources.
Save group materials and shared resources
Use Copy to to save your own copy of Group materials, resources someone shared with you, and resources in a Collection that belongs to another user. Copy each item you want to keep. This doesn't copy an entire Group or Collection, and having access to a shared Collection doesn't give you your own copy.
-
Open Resources.
-
Open the Group resource or material you want to keep.
-
Select Copy to.
-
Select a destination in your personal Resources, such as Home or another personal Collection.
-
Complete the copy action. The copied item is saved in your own Resources, where you can organize it and use it later.
Repeat these steps for each group material or shared resource you want to keep
