Use building-level app configuration when an LTI app requires each school to have its own access credentials, rather than a single organization-wide license. This allows administrators to install apps for specific schools and enter unique Consumer Key and Shared Secret values per building.
This feature is in limited availability. If you're a system administrator and interested in configuring LTI apps at the building level, contact your Schoology representative.
A Consumer Key and Shared Secret are only required for LTI 1.0 and 1.1 apps. LTI 1.3 apps do not require a key or secret.
Install an app for specific schools

Click the App Center icon and select App Center.

Locate the app and select its title.

Select Install LTI App.

Select I Agree to accept the terms.

Select Add to Organization.

From Organization Apps, select Install for the app.

Select a school option:

Choose All Schools to install with the same settings across all schools. Settings cannot be changed per school.

Choose Specific Schools for different settings per school. Use the All Schools drop-down in Organization Apps to switch between schools.

Select the areas to install and click Submit.
Configure credentials per building

Click the App Center icon and select App Center.

Select Organization Apps.

From All Schools, choose a school building.

Locate the app and select Configure.

Enter the Consumer Key and Shared Secret provided by the app developer. Building-level credentials override any district-level credentials.

Select Save Settings.
