Edit preferences

The School/District section will list all districts or schools your account is affiliated with. To edit your preferred contact methods and settings, tap Preferences on the My Profile page. 

Contact Information

Contact Methods will list your phone, email, and SMS contacts for broadcast messages. 

Add a phone number

If your district allows it, you can add another phone number for contact via call or text message.

To add:

1. Click or tap Add more.

2. Select Add a Phone. 

3. Enter a Phone Number. 

4. Click or tap Save. 

Edit a phone contact

For each verified phone number you have added as a contact, you can select your preferred method of communication for different types of broadcasts.

To specify which number needs to be used for emergencies:

1. Click or tap Change.

2. Select either Yes, it’s ok to call me at this number or No, call me for emergencies only.

3. Click or tap Save.

To modify the preferences for a phone number:

1. Select the phone number.

2. Choose Broadcast type. You can select from:

   • Call me

   • Send text

3. Click or tap Save.

If the number you have selected is to be used only for emergencies, you can only choose Send text as the broadcast type. 

Add an email address

To add an email address:

1. Click or tap Add More.

2. Select Add an Email Address. 

3. Enter an Email Address. You will need to verify access to the email address to proceed.

4. Click or tap Save. 

Edit an email contact

When you add an email contact, you are prompted to edit the contact preferences. Click or tap Yes to configure your preferences.

To modify an existing email contact:

1. Select the email contact.

2. Within Broadcast type, select if preference for Home contact is Email Me for the specific broadcast type.

3. Click or tap Save. 

Delete a Contact

To delete a contact:

1. Select the contact.

2. Click or tap the X.

3. Click or tap Delete to confirm.

Message Preferences

For each Broadcast Type, you can select your preferred method of contact: Phone, Email, or SMS. These options are essentially the same as the settings in My Contact Information, but they are configured through Broadcast Type instead of Contact.

To view and configure the message preferences for each broadcast type:

1. Click or tap Broadcast Type.

2. Toggle On or Off to select the contact methods you want to use for that broadcast type.
