Group chats

A Group chat is created for specific groups of individuals, which may or may not be tied to a single class or course. These groups could include extracurricular clubs, sports teams, or administrative committees.

Any groups you are already part of will be listed under Groups. Click or tap on the group to view the messages.

On the mobile app, groups with unread chats are marked with a solid blue dot next to the group name.

Join a Group

To join an existing group:

1. Search for a group.

2. On the desktop app, click the plus icon next to Groups. Tap the plus icon in the screen's header on the mobile app.

3. Enter the access code. You will need an invite code from the group administrator to join an existing group.

4. Click or tap Join.

Leave a Group

To exit a group on the mobile app, swipe left on the group's name and tap Leave Group.

On the desktop app, click the three dots and click Leave group.
