SafeArrival for MyPowerHub Guardians

This section contains a simplified overview of how SafeArrival can work for guardians within MyPowerHub.

Schools and districts control the types of absences parents can report and the reasons for those absences. For example, School A may allow reporting of Full Day, Early Departure, Late Arrival, Leave and Return, and Multiple Days. In contrast, School B may only provide the option to report Full Day and Multiple Day absences. Similarly, while School A may offer a variety of reasons for a full-day absence, School B might only provide two reasons, such as illness or vacation.

Manage PIN settings

Parents or guardians can require that a Personal Identification Number (PIN) be entered before absences can be reported or explained for their student using the SafeArrival phone system. Parents can update PIN settings from the SafeArrival attendance page of MyPowerHub or school or district staff by editing access to the SchoolMessenger Communicate Contacts page.

From the SafeArrival attendance screen, parents click the PIN Settings button in the right-hand corner. They will be shown a brief description of PIN settings and the option to Enable and set a four-digit PIN.

All attendance screens for a student will apply the same PIN for every student linked to the logged-in guardian. Each guardian can set their own unique PIN.
