MyPowerHub Family Help

Two-way SMS messaging

Two-way SMS allows your school or district to send text messages directly to your mobile phone. You can also reply to these messages using text. This helps you stay informed even if you don’t regularly use the MyPowerHub app.

  • Messages are sent by your school or district through a secure messaging system.

  • You may receive messages from different phone numbers depending on who is contacting you.

  • If you opt out, you will stop receiving messages from that specific number, but you may still receive messages from other school contacts or systems.

The first text message

The first text message you receive from your school or district will be a welcome. This message explains who is contacting you and includes important details about messaging terms and privacy.

Depending on the type of message, the wording may vary slightly. You may also be informed that:

  • Message and data rates may apply.

  • Message frequency may vary.

  • You can opt out of messages at any time.

  • Help information is available by replying.

You may receive messages from different staff members or groups. Each new conversation may generate a new introductory message, so you know who is contacting you. This is normal and helps ensure you understand the source of each message.

Language preferences

If your preferred language is not already known, you may be asked to select a language for messages.

You can reply with:

  • 1 for English

  • 2 for Spanish

  • 3 for French

  • Or type your language name

If the system does not recognize your selection, you will be prompted to try again.
