The Content Group Properties page allows administrators to view and manage settings for a content group. From this page, you can review group information, configure import behavior, manage editor access, and view metadata associated with the selected content group.
In the example shown, the Essentials content group is selected.
Access Content Group Properties

Navigate to Content Definitions.

Expand Content Groups.

Select the content group you want to manage.

Open the Properties tab.
The Properties tab contains editable settings for the selected content group.
General Information
Name
Displays the content group name.

Description
Provides a description of the content group's purpose.
Content Group Information
The Information section displays system-generated metadata.

Instance Properties
Sort Order
Controls the display order of the content group relative to other groups.
Field Type: Numeric
A lower number may cause the content group to appear earlier in lists.
Custom Properties
The Custom Properties section contains configurable settings that control content deployment and editing behavior.
Content Version
Displays the version associated with the content package.
Use this value to identify the currently deployed version.
Import Overwrite
Determines whether imported content can overwrite existing content during an import process.

Note: Locking a content group helps prevent accidental changes to baseline or system-managed content.
