Import schools into Schoology using a CSV or XLS file. School imports can create new schools or update existing schools using a School Code.
Import file requirements
The XLS or CSV file for import must contain the required fields.

School import considerations
Update existing schools
You can create new schools or update existing schools during an import.
Use one of the following options:

Don't update existing schools to create new school records from the import file.

Update existing schools using School Code to update existing schools by matching the School Code in the import file to the School Code in Schoology.
To update an existing school, the import file must include the correct School Code.
Import course enrollments
Select file

Select Tools and choose School Management.

Select Import.
-
Select Schools.
-
Upload the CSV or XLS file.

Select an updating option.

Select Continue.
Match columns

Match each Schoology field to the corresponding column in the import file.

Verify the mappings using the preview.

Select Preview
Preview and confirm
Review the import preview before running the import.
The preview displays:

Created Schools for new schools that will be added.

Updated Schools for existing schools that will be updated
-
Errors for issues that must be reviewed.
If the information is correct, select Run to complete the import.
Status log
After the import runs, use Status Log to:

Monitor import progress.

Review import messages.
-
Download the original import CSV file.
