Set up automatic Usage Analystics exports (SFTP)

This feature is in limited availability and not supported on Internet Explorer or Edge.

System administrators can configure an automatic export for usage data captured after August 1, 2019. Auto-exports are sent to an SFTP server.

Before you begin

  • Only one auto-export can be configured for your organization.

  • Export data cannot be customized.

  • Auto-exports run daily at midnight in your organization's time zone.

  • The auto-export day and time cannot be edited.

  • After an auto-export is confirmed, it cannot be edited. To make changes, delete the export and create a new one.

  • Administrators with the Administer School permission can auto-export data only for buildings associated with their account.

  • To create an auto-export for the entire organization, the organization-level building must be associated with your account.

Set up an auto-export

  1. Select Tools and choose Usage Analytics.

  2. Select Auto Export.

  3. Click Add Auto Export.

  4. Select an SFTP server. If no SFTP is configured:

    1. Click Add New SFTP.

    2. Enter the SFTP configuration details.

    3. Click Save.

    4. Select your SFTP from the list.

  5. Enter the file path for the export destination and select Next.

  6. Enter a name in the Export Name field and select Next.

  7. Review the configuration. After it is confirmed, this export cannot be edited.

  8. Click Create Export.

Auto-exports are sent to the selected SFTP location as a ZIP file. Each file is labeled with a date and timestamp.

Delete an auto-export

To make changes to an auto-export, you must delete the existing report and create a new one.

  1. From Auto Exports, select the three vertical dots for the report.

  2. Choose Delete Export.
