Log in to the Schoology mobile app

Depending on how your organization has set up your account, there are various login methods for the Schoology mobile app.

  • Contact your student’s instructor or one of the support contacts at your student’s school if you are unsure of the login setup.

  • If you aren’t included in the school’s single sign-on (SSO) method, log in through www.schoology.com.

  • If you use Google SSO to log in to Schoology, do not select Log in Using Schoology.com. Instead, search for and select your school or organization to be redirected to the appropriate login page.

  • If this is your first time signing in, enter the email address connected to your Schoology account. If you’ve previously signed in on the device, select the name of the populated account that you use to sign in to Schoology.

  • If you select the incorrect Schoology account:

    • Close the Schoology app.

    • Navigate to www.schoology.com and sign out of the incorrect account.

    • For SSO:

      1. Select Log In Through Your School.

The Requests area lists all of the course and group requests that are associated with your Schoology profile. Tap Accept or X, depending on the action you would like to take for each item. If Requests displays a red indicator on the navigation menu, you have a pending request.

These requests are for your personal guardian account. It's not possible to review requests your student receives.

My Children

The My Children view in the Android app is where guardians can review courses, groups, grades, and attendance for their student. Similar to the Student Activity View on the web version of Schoology, this area displays a preview of how your students can review their Schoology information.

The My Children area on the Schoology Android app uses a WebView, so it appears as an embedded mobile browser view within the app.

Select My Children from the navigation menu to access your student’s activity. From My Children, you can switch between the Student Activity and Enrollments view on the home page.

Use the menu in the header to access your student’s Courses, Groups, Grades, and Calendar.

On smaller screens, the Grades area is accessed by tapping More in the header.

Additional students

Additional students associated with your account can be accessed from the Android app in the same way as the web version. From the My Children view, tap your student’s name and select additional students from the list.

On smaller screens, tap More in the header and select your student from the list. You can toggle between student views from the next menu.

Reviewing child submissions

Access your child's submissions from the following areas:

  • Courses: Navigate to any of your student’s courses from the Courses header in the My Children view and select any course material.

  • Recent Grades/Attendance: Use the panel to the right of My Children to access any submitted and graded materials (on larger screens only).

Assignment submissions

The My Children area for parents using the Schoology iOS app uses a WebView, so the area appears like an embedded mobile browser view within the app. Files uploaded to the Schoology Document Viewer in Assignments can be accessed via this WebView or parents can opt to access an optimized view of the assignment, which displays the submission natively, within the app.

Devices must run iOS 14 2020-10-4 and above to access the optimized submission view.

Tap the link at the top of the submission to display an optimized view of your student’s submission.

The submission is displayed in-app instead of a WebView.

Courses

Courses lists all of the courses for which you are a member. You can also join a course from this area.

These are the courses that you are enrolled in directly with your personal parent account. To display your student’s courses, proceed to My Children.
