Overview

The blog feature in Schoology is a personal blogging tool located in each user's profile. 

• Student blogs are disabled by default.

• Teachers can post and subscribe to other teachers' blogs by default.

Create blog posts

If you have permission to create your own blog posts, you can create posts from your user profile or the homepage.

Create posts from your profile

1. Click your name.

2. Select Your Profile.

3. Click Blog from the menu.

4. Click Create Post.

5. Enter a title and body for your post.

6. Click Save Changes to post.

Create posts from the homepage

1. From the Post area of your Recent Activity, click More.

2. Select Personal Blog Post.

3. Enter the blog post, and then click Save Changes to post.

Subscribe to a user’s blog

To subscribe to another user’s blog, navigate to their profile and click Blog from the menu. Click Subscribe to Blog. New blog posts will now appear in the Subscriptions area of your profile.

Display more of the blog post

For longer posts that do not display in full on the Subscriptions page, click the title of the blog post to display the full post. From the blog post, you can:

• Leave a comment.

• Like a blog post.

• Browse by date (from the user profile view only).

Unsubscribe from a blog

1. Click your name.

2. Select Subscriptions.

3. Click the X icon for the blog you want to unsubscribe.
