Recycle bins
Account recycle bin
Your account recycle bin stores deleted resources from your personal resources.
Review deleted personal resources
Click your name and select Settings.
Select Recycle Bin.
Restore a resource
Deleted Resources folders cannot be retrieved. However, resources inside the folders can be restored from the recycle bin.
Deleted question banks for tests, quizzes, AMP, and assessment item banks cannot be restored.
Click your name and select Settings.
Select Recycle Bin.
Hover over the item to restore and click the gear icon.
Select Restore to.
Choose the Resource collection and folder where you'd like to restore the template.
Click Restore.
Courses recycle bin
The courses recycle bin stores deleted course sections. You may delete any course you've created, and depending on the settings in place at your school, you may be able to delete additional courses.
Review deleted courses
Select Courses.
Select My Courses.
Select Deleted Courses. This option is only displayed at the beginning of the page when courses have been deleted.
Review the course and section name and the date and time of its deletion.
Restore a course
Select Courses.
Select My Courses.
Select Deleted Courses.
Select all courses or a specific course to restore.
Click Restore.
Click Restore to confirm.
Course materials recycle bin
The course materials recycle bin stores deleted course materials, including assignments, quizzes, files, links, discussions, albums, and pages. You may delete any material in a course you administer.
Review deleted course materials
Navigate to a course.
From Course Options, select Course Options.
Select Recycle Bin.
Restore course materials
Course materials can be restored, along with submissions, comments, grades, and settings for that material.
If you've deleted folders of materials, the folders and structure cannot be retrieved. However, individual materials inside the folders are available in the recycle bin.
Navigate to a course.
From Course Options, select Course Options.
Select Recycle Bin.
Hover over the item to restore and click the gear icon.
Select Restore to.
Choose the Resource collection and folder where you'd like to restore the template.
Click Restore.
Groups recycle bin
The Groups Recycle Bin stores deleted groups. You can delete any group you've created. Depending on the settings in place at your school, you may also be able to delete additional groups.
Review deleted groups
Select Groups.
Select My Groups.
Select Deleted Groups. This option is only displayed at the beginning of the page when groups have been deleted.
Restore a group
Select Groups.
Select My Groups.
Select Deleted Groups.
Select all groups or a specific group to restore.
Click Restore.
Click Restore to confirm.
Group resources recycle bin
The Group Resources Recycle Bin stores deleted group resources, or templates of assignments, quizzes, files, links, discussions, and pages. You can delete any resource in a group you administer.
Review deleted group resources
Navigate to a group.
From Group Options, select Recycle Bin.
Restore Group Resources
If you've deleted folders of resources, the folders cannot be retrieved. However, resources inside the folders will be available in the recycle bin.
Deleted test, quiz, and AMP question banks and assessment item banks cannot be restored.
Navigate to a group.
From Group Options, select Recycle Bin.
Hover over the template to restore and click the gear icon.
Select Restore to.
Choose the folder where you'd like to restore the template.
Click Restore.
View deleted updates and comments
Updates and comments that have been deleted from courses and groups are listed separately in the Moderation area. These deletions cannot be restored.
Navigate to a course or group.
Click Course Options or Group Options.
Select Moderate Posts.
Optionally, click Deleted to review the deleted updates or comments if Moderation is enabled. If Moderation is disabled, deleted updates and comments will be the default view.
