Special Programs app setup

After completing the requirements, system administrators can install the Special Programs app in Schoology.

Copy the integration URL in Special Programs

  1. From Special Programs, click Administration, choose Configuration, and then choose Integration.

  2. Click Schoology Integration.

  3. Click Configure Integration.

  4. From the Schoology integration wizard, click Next.

  5. Select and copy the custom integration URL to use when configuring the Special Programs app in Schoology.

Install and configure the Special Programs app in Schoology

  1. Click the App Center icon and select App Center.

  2. Locate the Special Programs app and select the title.

  3. Click Install App.

  4. Select I Agree to continue with the installation.

  5. Click Add to Organization to install for your district.

  6. From Organization Apps, click Configure for the Special Programs app.

  7. Enter the form details.

    • For Custom URL, paste the custom integration URL from Special Programs into this field.

    • For Custom SAML URL, paste the same custom integration URL from Special Programs into this field.

  8. Click Save settings.

  9. From Organization Apps, click Install/Remove for the Special Programs app.

  10. Select All Users and then select the Student role.

  11. Click Submit.

Copy the consumer key and secret in Schoology

  1. Click Tools and choose School Management.

  2. Select Integration.

  3. From Integration, select API.

  4. Copy the Consumer Key and Consumer Secret to paste into the Schoology Integration wizard in Special Programs.

Complete the Schoology integration in Special Programs

  1. If you have kept the Schoology Integration wizard open, click Next, and then Next to continue to the last step. Otherwise, navigate to the Schoology Integration wizard and click Advanced.

  2. Select or enter the Schoology API URL.

  3. Enter or paste the Consumer Key and the Consumer Secret that you copied from Schoology.

  4. Click Finish. The School NID and Schoology API URL details are now displayed in the Schoology Integration tab within Special Programs.
