Course materials: Media albums (instructors)
Overview
Create albums to organize photos, videos, and audio files for your course.
Crop and rotate photos after adding them.
Allow comments on each item within an album.
Tag users in your uploaded photos or allow students to upload and tag media.
Media album tags are not supported in courses with more than 10,000 members and groups with more than 1,000 members.
Create media albums
Navigate to a course.
Select Add Materials and choose Add Media Album.
Enter the album information. Refer to the Media album options details table for more information.
Click Create.
Optionally, click Attach Files, find and upload media, and then click Add Media.
Supported file types
Files can only be uploaded individually.
Files can be a maximum of 512 MB.

Media album options details
Options | Details |
---|---|
Individually assign | Displays the media album to specific members of the course or grading group. |
Publish to students | Displays the media album to students. |
Comments | Allows students to post comments. |
Instructors and students can add media | Allows instructors and students to add media. |
Copy to courses | Copy the media album with the current settings and options to another course you administer. |
Edit media albums
Navigate to a course.
Select the media album to edit.
Click Add Media to upload and attach media files.
Optionally, select the album’s gear icon, choose Edit Media, and optionally:
Add captions to photos.
Delete photos.
Click a photo to edit it, tag people, comment, or add a caption.
Change photo order
Navigate to a course.
Select the media album to edit.
Click a photo and drag and drop it to the desired location.
