Insert content into materials

Overview

Use Insert Content tool

Insert content icon
to incorporate a variety of content in line with your text to:

  • Add more visual interest.

  • Share external resources.

  • Clarify terms.

  • Include complex language symbols and mathematical equations not found on a standard keyboard.

  • Include content from your Schoology Resource Apps.

The Insert Content tool is available in the Description field toolbar when creating or editing materials in Courses, Groups, or Resources.

If your inserted content does not display properly, ensure your Internet browser is not blocking mixed content.

Schoology Resource Apps

Ensure you have installed the apps in your account. All installed Resource Apps are displayed in the Insert Content list. Select the app to view or search for content in the resource. Embedded videos will display after you save or update the content.

Images and media

Upload images and media files from your computer or local network. After the file has loaded, select it to resize or delete it.

  • You can attach an unlimited number of files, but you must upload each file individually.

  • The maximum file size is 100MB.

  • Your students’ computers or mobile devices must have the necessary plugins installed to display content properly.
