Include complex language symbols and mathematical equations not found on a standard keyboard.
Include content from your Schoology Resource Apps.
The Insert Content tool is available in the Description field toolbar when creating or editing materials in Courses, Groups, or Resources.
If your inserted content does not display properly, ensure your Internet browser is not blocking mixed content.
Schoology Resource Apps
Ensure you have installed the apps in your account. All installed Resource Apps are displayed in the Insert Content list. Select the app to view or search for content in the resource. Embedded videos will display after you save or update the content.
Images and media
Upload images and media files from your computer or local network. After the file has loaded, select it to resize or delete it.
You can attach an unlimited number of files, but you must upload each file individually.
The maximum file size is 100MB.
Your students’ computers or mobile devices must have the necessary plugins installed to display content properly.

You can also use a link or embed code to include images or media files from the web.
Links
Include an inline link to an outside resource or another course material you want students to review. If you are linking to a Course Material, search for specific Course Material or click on a folder to access its contents.
Symbols
Insert a variety of special characters from the Symbol menu.
Equations
Add Operators, Equations, Relationships, Greek letters, Arrows, and other miscellaneous symbols for math, chemistry, physics, and music materials.
LaTeX
Select the LaTeX option and paste or create your LaTex input. Click Insert to preview the text.
Tooltips
Add tooltips to provide additional information when a user hovers on text or an image. Highlight the text or media, then click Insert Content to create the Tooltip.
Additional information
You can also use Insert Content when writing Multiple Choice Test/Quiz questions. Click edit for any choice field to open the rich text editor for that answer choice.
