Partial pairwise per response

Partial pairwise per response is available only for ordering questions. Instead of evaluating whether an item is in its exact position, the system evaluates how closely the student's sequence matches the relationships between items in the correct order.

How it works

Partial match awards credit only when an item is in the correct position.

Partial pairwise per response awards credit when items maintain correct relationships to one another, even if they are not in their exact positions.

Example

Correct order:

  1. Step A

  2. Step B

  3. Step C

  4. Step D

Student response:

  1. Step A

  2. Step C

  3. Step B

  4. Step D

Although steps B and C are not in the correct positions, some relationships between items remain correct. Partial pairwise per response may award partial credit based on those relationships.
