Use the Merge tab to merge a duplicate user account into another account. The account being merged is deleted after the merge. Content from the merged account becomes available in the destination account. After the merge, the user signs in with the destination account credentials.
You cannot undo a merge after it is completed. Verify that both accounts are correct before proceeding. If both accounts should remain in Schoology, consider linking the accounts instead of merging them.
Merge user accounts

From User Management, select Manage Users.

Select Merge.

In User Being Merged, enter the account to merge.

In Destination User, enter the account that will remain after the merge.

Select Submit.

Review the account information.

Select Merge.

When possible, select the SIS-synchronized account as the Destination User and select the non-synchronized account as User Being Merged.
If both accounts were created through SIS synchronization, contact Schoology Support before merging the accounts.
Preserve grades when merging accounts
Review the following information before merging accounts. During a standard account merge, grades from the account entered in User Being Merged are not transferred to the Destination User account. Only grades from the destination account are retained. Export any grades you want to keep before merging accounts.
When one account is synchronized with an SIS
If one account was created through SIS synchronization and the other was not, select the SIS-synchronized account as the Destination User. Select the non-synchronized account as User Being Merged.
When both accounts are synchronized with an SIS
If both accounts were created through SIS synchronization, contact Schoology Support before merging the accounts.
When neither account is synchronized with an SIS
If neither account is SIS-synchronized and both accounts contain grades, only grades from the Destination User account are retained. Grades from the account entered in User Being Merged are deleted.

If you need to keep grades from the account entered in User Being Merged, contact Schoology Support before completing the merge.
