System administrators can activate advisor access for an entire role or create individual advisor-advisee pairings.
Activate advisor access
System administrators have advisor access by default. This permission cannot be disabled.
You can activate the advisor access permission for a role to give all users in a particular role advisor access to all students.

From Tools, choose User Management.

Select Permissions.

From Administration Settings, select Advisor Access for the desired role.

Click Save Permissions.
Creating advisor and advisee pairs
Create advisor and advisee pairs when advisors should have access only to specific students.

From Tools, choose User Management.

Select Parent/Advisors.

Search for the student who will act as the advisee.

From Parents/Advisors, click Advisor.

Enter the name of the staff or faculty member who will act as the student’s advisor.

Click Save Changes.
Importing advisor and advisee associations
You can import advisor/advisee associations in bulk or via SFTP. Before importing, prepare a two-column file containing advisor unique IDs and student unique IDs. Each row should represent one advisor/advisee pair.

From Tools, choose User Management.

Select Parent/Advisors.

Select Options and choose Import.

Select Advisor.

Upload your CSV file.

Map the advisor and student unique ID columns.

Click Preview to review the associations.

Run the import.
