Course template permissions

Administration

Course Template permissions provide users with access to Create, View, and Publish Course Templates to Course Sections.

  • View Course Templates

    • Enabled: Allows users to add and edit all course template materials.

    • Disabled: Users are not able to add or edit any course template materials. 

    • Prerequisite permissions: View materials settings, Manage materials, and Align learning objectives. 

  • Create Course Template

    • Enabled: Allows users to create course templates.

    • Disabled: Users are not able to create course templates.

    • Prerequisite permissions: Create Course

  • Distribute Course Templates

    • Enabled: The Distribute Course Template button will be displayed within the Course Template menu, and within the Course Template. 

    • Disabled: The Distribute Course Template button will not be displayed to the user.

    • Prerequisite permissions: Create Course, Administer Course

  • Manage Course Template Grade Setup

    • Enabled: Users can access and edit grade setup options, including adding grade categories, rubrics, and scales.

    • Disabled: Users cannot access grade setup, and cannot add grading categories, rubrics, or scales.

    • Prerequisite permissions: Create Course

  • Manage Course Template Members

    • Enabled: The Member tab is displayed to the user, and the user can add members to the Course Template. 

    • Disabled: The user will not have access to the Member tab.

    • Prerequisite permissions: Create Course
